Memories of My First Day at School

The moment I stepped into the schoolyard on my first day, I was both excited and nervous. The vibrant colors of the building were striking, and the sound of children laughing filled the air. I remember clutching my backpack tightly, feeling as if it were a safety blanket.volume_up Unsure of what to expect, I was overwhelmed  by the size of the school. It was much larger than I imagined, with so many different classrooms and students bustling about.volume_up

 As I walked towards my classroom, I noticed other kids chatting and playing games. They seemed to know each other so well, and I felt like an outsider. I took a deep breath, reminding myself that everyone else was new too.volume_up When I finally entered the classroom, I was greeted by my teacher, Ms. Thompson, whose warm smile instantly put me at ease. She welcomed us all with a kind voice and introduced herself, creating an atmosphere that felt safe and friendly.volume_up

One of the first activities we did was to share our names and something we liked. I spoke about my love for soccer, and to my surprise, a few other students shared similar interests. It felt good to connect, and gradually, my shyness began to fade.volume_up We played games that helped us learn each other's names, and by the end of the day, I had a handful of new friends. During lunch, I sat with some of my new classmates. We laughed and shared stories about our families and hobbies.
