My name is Jack. I am ten years old, and I am a student at Green School. My school is big and beautiful. There are many classrooms, a library, and a playground. My classmates are friendly, and our teachers are kind.

Today is Monday. We are excited because there is a new student in our class. Her name is Sophie. She is nine years old. She is from Canada, but she is now in our city. Her hair is brown, and her eyes are blue.

Our teacher, Mrs. White, is very nice. She says, "Sophie, this is your new classroom. We are happy you are here!"

Sophie is a little nervous. I smile and say, "Hello! I am Jack. You are my new friend!" She smiles back.

In our classroom, there are twenty desks and many colorful pictures. The whiteboard is clean, and the windows are big. My desk is next to Sophie's desk. We are ready for our English lesson.

At lunchtime, Sophie and I are in the school cafeteria. The food is delicious. My sandwich is small, but her sandwich is big. We are hungry, so we eat together.

After lunch, we are in the playground. Our friends are happy to meet Sophie. She is not nervous anymore. She is excited and cheerful.

At the end of the day, Sophie says, "This school is wonderful! You are all very friendly."

I am happy because Sophie is my new friend.
